BACKYARDS is the personal project of Marc DEVIDAL, the keyboards player of French Progressive rock band MORRIGAN. Built around keyboards, its repertoire delivers a coloured music which, supported by elaborate rhythms, forms a homogeneous unit, making these instrumental tracks above all melodic. Through a succession of different feelings, "Horizon" (Musea Parallèle, 2011) illustrates which crosses our lives, which concerns us. An original creation which reveals, beyond Progressive rock music from the Seventies (YES, GENESIS, PINK FLOYD...) an inspired music by other musical influences. "2Eden" (Musea Parallèle, 2012) continues the job started twelve months before, through an epic suite split in seven parts, and five original compositions. To be discovered !
