TRIUMVIRAT is a famous trio that includes keyboards, bass and drums, and performs a kind of higly technical progressive rock dominated by emphatic and pompous keyboards that strongly evoke EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER, a band to whom those Germans were often compared. Led by keyboardist Jürgen FRITZ, this line-up occasionally includes the vocal participation of British Barry PALMER. "Mediterranean Tales" was recorded in 1972 and followed by "Illusions On A Double Dimple" two years later. Then, "Spartacus" was issued in 1975 and "Old Loves Die Hard" in 1976, a year before the creation of a new generation called NEW TRIUMVIRAT with "Pompeii".
