French guitar player Herry ANSKER performs an ethnic music, not so far away from the style of SIXUN. Apart from Africa, his native Brittany was an obvious inspiration for his guitar soli, that strongly remind Dan AR BRAS'. "Next World" (1999) shows a diversity of ambiances, of beautiful and strong melodies, of elaborated arrangements. This little masterpiece represents a perfect synthesis between jazz-rock fusion and world music. Recorded the same year on an all-instrumental basis, "Also Imagus" performs a high-quality fusion that blends jazz themes with a nomadic flavour, energetic fusion and ambient jazz. Herry ANSKER is helped by such great names as Christian ESCOUDE, Olivier HUTMAN, François LAIZEAU, Marc PERRU (NEMO) and Chris HAYWARD (TOTAL ISSUE and Alan STIVELL). Not to be missed !
