THERION (Suède)
Symphony Masses: Ho Drakon Ho Megas

THERION was born in 1988, somewhere in cold Sweden, for the sake of death-metal. After a most conventional first album ("Of Darkness", 1990), this Scandinavian line-up created a little revolution in this genre with their second album ("Beyond Sanctorium", 1991), by incorporating keyboards and feminine vocals to their music. This tendency increased later, giving more weight to melodies. Left by his bandmates, singer Christoffer JOHNSSON quickly hired other mousicians and composed "Symphony Masses: Ho Drakon Ho Megas". Then, "Lepaca Kliffoth" was issued before the great "Theli" (1996) put this band under the spotlights. THERION is now a reference, almost a style in itself... A confirmation of this is given in "Vovin" and "Deggial", recorded two and four years later respectively.
