Bill BRUFORD (Royaume-Uni)
Gradually Going Tornado

Bill BRUFORD, a drummer with metronomic precision and an easily recognizable style, is unquestionably one of the best musicians of all time. Some will remember him for having played in no fewer than three major Progressive rock groups in the Seventies. The first of these was YES, with which he launched his career in 1968 with a bang. He later oriented himself towards more jazzy and experimental shores alongside Robert FRIPP. As a member of KING CRIMSON through 1973, he developed his talents as a percussionist, which was later to stand him in good stead when he got into electronic percussion during the Eighties, notably as the leader of Bill BRUFORD'S EARTHWORKS. Then, after Phil COLLINS was chosen as the singer for GENESIS in 1975, Bill BRUFORD played drums behind him on GENESIS' tour the following year. His other collaborations are far too numerous for us to list them all here, but we must mention his stints with GONG, PAVLOV'S DOG and NATIONAL HEALTH. After spending a fruitful year in U.K. (Including playing on the self-titled album from 1978, a milestone in the history of Progressive jazz-rock fusion.), he decided to start a solo career, with the help of his colleague guitarist Allan HOLDSWORTH, young American bass prodigy Jeff BERLIN, and keyboardist Dave STEWART. "Feels Good To Me" was their first recording.

"Feels Good To Me" en est le premier témoignage.
