Led by Dominique GRIMAUD ("Un Certain Rock Français"), VIDEO-AVENTURES is the gathering of numerous musicians hard-to-classify, such as Gilbert ARTMANN or Cyril LEFEBVRE... They offer a music full of references and winks to Erik SATIE, CAPTAIN BEEFHEART, ZNR or THE RESIDENTS. During the Eighties, the band was noticed for its innovative use of synthesizers, in particular the famous Synthi AKS. VIDEO-AVENTURES even entered the charts in New Musical Express, and the following decade, its first opus was chosen as one of the twenty-five best analog synthesizers album by French magazine Guitares Et Claviers. "Musiques Pour Garçons" is the second work by the group, fond of naive music, still spontaneous though. "Oscillations" features seventeen electronic pieces recorded between 1979 and 1984. Some were used as the basis for songs on their albums, others remained unreleased until now.

Sous la houlette de Dominique GRIMAUD ("Un Certain Rock Français"), VIDEO-AVENTURES est la réunion de nombreux musiciens inclassables, comme Gilbert ARTMANN ou Cyril LEFEBVRE... Il s'agit là d'une musique de clins-d'oeils lancés à Erik SATIE, CAPTAIN BEEFHEART, ZNR ou THE RESIDENTS. La formation marqua les esprits par son emploi atypique des synthétiseurs, et principalement le Synthi AKS. Le groupe fut d'ailleurs classé à l'époque dans les charts du magazine anglais New Musical Express dans la catégorie "indépendants", puis dans la décennie suivante dans la sélection des vingt-cinq meilleurs albums de synthétiseurs analogiques du magazine Guitares Et Claviers. "Musiques Pour Garçons" est le second album de ce regroupement musical adepte de la musique naïve et bricolée, mais toujours spontanée. "Oscillations" présente dix-sept pièces électroniques enregistrées entre 1979 et 1984, certaines ayant servi de base aux albums studio, d'autres qui restèrent inédites à ce jour.
