A young band from the South-East of France, FAIRLIGHT performs a blend of Progressive rock, death and dark speed-metal, with texts sung like psalms with a grunting voice and a rumbling guitar. That instrument tears apart and cut through the music with a great deal of agressivity, even if the musicians' way of playing can sometimes appear to be more contrasted and complex, thanks to the discreet but efficient contribution of the keyboards. All in all, you get a brand of symphonic Progressive death-metal very much inventive and sophisticated. "Le Bal Des Eternels" has been recordeed in 1997 on the Thundering label. A real discovery, not to be missed !

Jeune groupe du Sud-Est de la France, FAIRLIGHT distille un mélange de rock Progressif, de death et de speed-metal sombre, aux textes psalmodiés d'une voix sépulcrale, avec le grondement omniprésent de la guitare en contrepoint. Cet instrument déchiquette et taillade avec une agressivité féroce, même si son jeu se révèle parfois plus nuancé, contrasté et complexe, avec l'apport discret mais cependant efficace des claviers. Tout ceci nous donne un death-metal Progressif et symphonique très inventif et sophistiqué. "Le Bal Des Eternels" a été enregistré en 1997 sur le label Thundering. Une déritable découverte, à ne surtout pas manquer !
