The ETERNITY X albums surely deserves greater attention than most of the new Progressive heavy-metal bands, in a recently quite crowded genre (Both quantitatively and qualitatively). Each of them present a subtle blend of symphonic elements, powerful keyboards, fabulous guitar solos and modern rhythms. The first one called "Once Upon A Dream" (1991), the concept that presents the twelve astrological signs "Zodiac" (1993) and the third album "Mind Games" (1995) show a melodical heavy-metal band that is only very little marked by the both symphonic and Progressive rock influences that would be perceptible on the following one with the arrival of a full-time keyboardist. It has to be said that "The Edge" (1997) is an absolute masterpiece ! During both delicate or more energetic tracks, this album proves to be aggressive in its musical content, even though it respects at the same time the ears with very elaborate melodical lines. It can remind of a meeting between SHADOW GALLERY and DREAM THEATER (Perfect instrumental technique, melodical beauty, varied vocals that alternate with great success aggressive and bursting moments...). The beauty of this major works in this style will seduce both Progressive rock and heavy-metal fans as well as those who appreciate mature and ardent rock music. The moving and expressive texts, helped by the extraordinary aesthetic and always perfect vocals by Keith SUDANO (Let's mention the vocal similarities with Geddy LEE, Michael SADLER, Mike BAKER and James LaBRIE, or even Tommy ERIKSSON... Of AGENESS !) draw a painting of musical colours that describe the characters from the inside and beyond the edge of eternity.

Les disques de ETERNITY X représentent bien plus qu'une énième nouveauté de heavy-metal Progressif, dans un secteur pour le moins surchargé (Autant quantitativement que qualitativement) de nos jours. Chacun d'entre eux représente un subtil mélange d'éléments symphoniques, de claviers puissants, de fabuleux soli de guitare et d'une musique aux rythmes actuels. Le premier intitulé "Once Upon A Dream" (1991), le concept présentant les douze signes astrologiques "Zodiac" (1993) et le troisième album "Mind Games" (1995) montrent un groupe de heavy-metal mélodique encore très peu marqué par les influences tant symphoniques que rock Progressives perceptibles sur le suivant, avec l'apport d'un claviériste à part entière. Autant le préciser tout de suite, "The Edge" (1997) est un chef-d'oeuvre absolu ! Qu'il offre des titres délicats ou plus énergiques, cet album s'avère agressif dans son contenu musical, bien que choyant dans un même temps vos oreilles avec des lignes mélodiques élaborées. On peut penser à une rencontre au sommet entre SHADOW GALLERY et DREAM THEATER (Technique instrumentale parfaite, beauté des mélodies, vocaux variés alternant avec autant de réussite la plénitude et l'agressivité...). Dans sa beauté, cette oeuvre majeure du genre séduira les fans de rock Progressif et de metal aussi bien que tous ceux qui appécient une musique rock mâture et passionnante. Des textes émouvants et expressifs, servis par le chant extraordinairement plastique et toujours impeccable de Keith SUDANO (Citons pêle-mêle les similitudes vocales avec Geddy LEE, Michael SADLER, Mike BAKER ou James LaBRIE, voire Tommy ERIKSSON... de AGENESS !), dessinent le canevas de couleurs musicales, décrivant des personnages à l'intérieur et au-delà du bord de l'éternité...
