ISILDURS BANE (Suède) Sagan Om Den Irländska Algen/Sagan Om Ringen

Founded in 1976 by the Swedish keyboardist Mats JOHANSSON, ISILDURS BANE is one of the most original sextets. But it will have to wait until the nineties to be fully recognized and to reach the top of the bill. The group provides a wonderful symphonic orchestrial music with a touch of progressive rock and whose composing method can be compared with the Hungarian group AFTER CRYING's. "Mind - Volume Two" (2001) is a concept-album which is original for its diverse compositions played in studio or on stage, generally reinterpreted with different formations (From the classic rock group to the classic orchestra...) and coming from their whole discography. The result is a real piece of work, perfectly coherent and really enjoyable to listen to.

Formé en 1976 par le claviériste suédois Mats JOHANSSON, ISILDURS BANE est un sextette des plus originaux. Il devra cependant attendre le début des années quatre-vingt-dix pour être reconnu à sa juste valeur, c'est-à-dire au sommet de l'affiche ! La formation prodigue une musique orchestrale symphonique majestueuse, avec une touche de rock Progressif et dont la démarche peut être comparée à celle des Hongrois de AFTER CRYING. "Mind - Volume Two" (2001) est un concept-album qui a ceci d'original qu'il est constitué de diverses compositions jouées en studio ou en concert, généralement réinterprétées avec des formations différentes (Du groupe de rock basique à l'orchestre classique...) et provenant de l'ensemble de leur discographie. Il en résulte une oeuvre à part entière, parfaitement cohérente et véritablement enthousiasmante à écouter !
