INDACO (Italie) Spezie - Live

INDACO is the name of a supergroup including several BANCO DEL MUTUO members, such as Rodolfo MALTESE, PierLuigi CALDERONI, Francesco Di GIACOMO and Vittorio NOCENZI. They released "Vento Del Deserto" in 1997 for the Manifesto label, with Progressive ethno-rock sounds mixed to an obvious Indian influence and some sitar. Most songs are instrumentals, and there is even a PINK FLOYD cover done with a middle-eastern euro-asian feel ! Amongst the special guests, we could find Mauro PAGANI (PREMIATA FORNERIA MARCONI) and Toni ESPOSITO. "Amorgos" is the second effort to add to the credit of Carlo MEZZANOTTE (Keyboards) and his friends. Invited is Lester BOWIE (Trumpet), amongst many others. The glossy cardboard cover displays a mixture of Greek and Moresque styles, referring to the greek island Amorgos, a rather beautiful and obscure island of the Cyclades. The third CD release by INDACO is "Spezie - Live".

INDACO est le nom d'un super-groupe comprenant plusieurs membres de BANCO DEL MUTUO SOCCORSO, tels que Rodolfo MALTESE, PierLuigi CALDERONI, Francesco Di GIACOMO et Vittorio NOCENZI. Ils ont publié "Vento Del Deserto" en 1997 sur le label Manifesto, un album sur lequel l'on pouvait entendre des sons d'ethno-rock Progressif mêlés à une influence indienne évidente, véhiculée par l'usage du sitar. La plupart des titres sont instrumentaux et l'on y trouve même une reprise de PINK FLOYD dotée d'une ambiance moyen-orientale ! Parmi les invités, on trouve Mauro PAGANI (PREMIATA FORNERIA MARCONI) et Toni ESPOSITO. "Amorgos" est le deuxième album, à porter au crédit de Carlo MEZZANOTTE (Claviers) et de ses acolytes. On y trouve Lester BOWIE (Trompette) en tant qu'invité, entre autres. Le luxueux digipack montre un mélange de styles grec et mauresque, qui évoque l'île grecque d'Amorgos, l'une des îles les plus belles et méconnues des Cyclades. Le troisième CD de INDACO s'appelle "Spezie - Live".
