SED LEX (France) Umbras Et Lumina

Composed of old chaps of the heavy-metal scene from the French region Rhône-Alpes, SED LEX was created in december 1998 around Jean-Luc MAZA (Guitar & vocals), Philippe FAUGIER (Drums), Jean-Marc LAFAYE (Keyboards) and Bruno JAMES (Bass & vocals). One year and a half later, their first demo was released under the title "Harvests Of Disorder". In July 2002, the group opens the Mâcon festival in front of six thousand people, who came above all for DOLLY and INDOCHINE... A little bit doubtful about their participation to such a big festival, the musicians soon forgot everything about that: they received a frank and big success ! Finally released in August 2002 on the Brennus label, "De Viris" (2003) is a first very original album influenced various musical trends of the Seventies and Eighties. Not to be missed !

Composé de vieux routiers de la scène heavy-metal de la région Rhône-Alpes, SED LEX se crée en décembre 1998 au tour de Jean-Luc MAZA (Guitare & chant), Philippe FAUGIER (Batterie), Jean-Marc LAFAYE (Claviers) et Bruno JAMES (Basse & chant). Un an et demi plus tard paraît leur première démo, parue sous le titre "Harvests Of Disorder". En juillet 2002, la formation ouvre le festival de Mâcon face à 6000 spectateurs venus surtout pour DOLLY et INDOCHINE... Un tantinet dubitatifs quant à leur participation à une telle affiche, les musiciens laissent cependant leurs doutes au vestiaire: ils obtiennent un succès franc et massif ! Finalement publié en août 2002 sur le label Brennus, "De Viris" (2003) est un premier album très personnel, puisant ses influences dans les multiples courants musicaux des années soixante-dix et quatre-vingts. A ne surtout pas manquer !
